An immigration bond is never posted at the detention center, and it is not a criminal bail bond. Bonds go through ICE ERO, online through CeBONDS or in person at an ERO bond acceptance office. ICE does not accept cash currency, only a cashier’s check or money order for the full amount, and the person posting generally must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident over 18.
